Thank you all for the support within the first 4 days!
After having people play test and give feedback, pointing out bugs and improvements, I have fixed a fair few of these bugs along with creating some QoL updates to help make the game more streamlined and easier for those who just want to play a quick game, instead of rage quitting after the first 10 minutes...
Here is a list of changes made in this version:
- Updated the UI to include a controls button to help users understand the controls
- Updated the UI to help users understand what button they are currently on and if it is clickable
- Added a chest to the room with the Walkers to help players from frequently dying
- Added a volume slider in the settings
- Added an interact widget to help players understand the mechanics of the game
- Added walls to levels to prevent players from accidentally walking off while dodging enemies
- Added new wall designs and environmental effects to give a more run-down look
- Added retractable spikes in the Key Room to add some more danger
- Fixed a bug that would allow enemies to corner the player and soft lock the game by not doing any damage
- Fixed a bug that would keep the players health the same once beating the game or returning to the main menu when paused
- Reduced the brightness of the lightning flash when in the Courtyard
- Fixed a bug that would allow the player to open the first key chest multiple times
